"As a hospitality executive for the last 15 years, my team and I have been participants in routine upgrades to our  properties either dictated by our Flag or by our ownership team.  The engagement with Tul Designs was the first  project in which one team took ownership of virtually all aspects of the capital budget projects and dispatched them one by one while remaining in residence.  In addition,  they personally oversaw the day to day activities of every crew so that the hotel personnel could pursue the completion of their regular duties.  This was a dramatic departure from the usual "fly-in" checks on projects that we had experienced in the past.  At first, we were skeptical of the process, but we quickly realized their talent and efficiency and began to regard the TUL team as valued members of our hotel family.

Katie and Clayton took ownership of a complete lobby overhaul, working with our corporate partners to enhance their visibility while improving our guest experience.  They and their crews worked around occupancy to minimize disruption (many times working through the night) and transformed the lobby into the heart of the hotel. They reclaimed previously retired wings and added pet friendly rooms that could be marketed at a premium.  They designed and built our new lobby bar that exceeded the yearly  financial projections in less than 3 months. Overseeing the design, ordering, Hilton approval, and project management of guestroom carpet replacement for over 1000 rooms was a tall order that we got through with ease thanks to TUL’s involvement!

Nancy and her crews undertook a 28 acre network infrastructure install and provided technology at a level that was unparalleled in central Florida.  We were able to attract new groups for our conference facilities by offering dedicated bandwidth and capitalize on the local Conference center overflow.  Previous guest complaints turned into positive guest reviews in regards to our download speeds! The RFID locks allowed us to realize a 20% reduction in parking slippage in the first 30 days and bring our SALT scores back in line with corporate standards.

We came to depend on these talented individuals  to work with us to solve problems and brainstorm improvements that exceeded what we thought could occur. Needless to say, we were spoiled having our own property improvement team onsite. What a resource!
